SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, and it's the technology that encrypts the connection between your website and your visitors' browsers. You'll recognise it by the padlock icon in the address bar and the fact that your web address starts with https:// rather than http://

Why does it matter?

SSL protects any information your visitors submit through your website — contact forms, bookings, payment details — from being intercepted. It also builds trust: visitors who see the padlock know your site is secure.

Beyond security, Google takes SSL seriously. Websites without SSL are marked as "Not Secure" in Chrome, which can put visitors off. Google also gives a minor ranking boost to secure websites, which helps with SEO

Is it included with CyberWebPAGE?

Yes — SSL is included as standard with every hosting package. You don't need to purchase it separately or set it up yourself. Your website will be secure from day one.
