What Is an Email Forwarder and How Do I Use One?

An email forwarder automatically redirects emails sent to one address straight to another inbox — without you having to log into a separate account.

For example, you might have [email protected] as a contact address on your website, but you want those messages to land in your personal Gmail inbox, where you already manage everything. A forwarder makes that happen silently in the background.

Why use a forwarder?

  • It lets you present a professional email address publicly without managing a separate account inbox.
  • It's useful for team members who prefer using their own email clients.
  • It's handy for temporary roles or campaign-specific addresses.

Important note: Emails forwarded in this way are received via the professional address, but if you reply from your personal inbox, your reply will show your personal email address. For a fully professional experience, we recommend setting up your email properly in your mail app (see our

article on setting up email in Outlook orApple Mail).
