Yes — your domain name belongs to you, not to us.
When we register a domain on your behalf, it is registered in your name. If you ever decide to move to a different provider, you have the right to take your domain with you.
This process is called a domain transfer. To transfer a domain away, you'll typically need an authorisation code (sometimes called an EPP code or transfer key), which we'll provide upon request. You'd then give this code to your new
provider to initiate the transfer.A few things to keep in mind:
- Domain transfers usually take a few days to complete.
- Your domain must not be within 60 days of its original registration or a previous transfer (this is an industry-wide rule).
- Make sure your domain is not expired before attempting a transfer.
